House Call

Our veterinarians and nurses at American Veterinary Hospital offer house calls that most traditional pet hospitals don't.

By examining your pet in its own environment, where they feel more calm and secure, veterinarian can better evaluate behavioral and certain other conditions which may be caused or aggravated by their environment.

Some of our clients have used this service for saying good bye to their best friend in the comfort and tranquility of their own home. We realize that it's extremely difficult decision for all pet-owner to take their pet to veterinarian for euthanasia when time arrives to say good bye.

Other instances where a house call may be more beneficial are for pets that dread car rides, don't travel well and get sick from car ride, for older and larger pets with mobility problems and for elderly people who have difficult time getting pets' in and out of the car or have no personal means of transportation. Sometimes, pet-owner with multiple pets have used this services for updating their pets on routine preventative care.

Our veterinarian will examine your pet and give medicine and collect samples as deemed necessary. If pet's condition require that pet be hospitalized, veterinarian and nurse will transport your pet to our hospital for further care.

A minimum fee may be required in advance for this service.
